Our application process
Applications open in October
Anyone from any degree discipline is eligible to join us. We assume that our joiners have no prior knowledge and want to emphasise that we value enthusiasm and an intellectual curiosity about the world of finance and/or investing.
What to include
You will need to apply with your CV highlighting your academic and professional background as well as answer some motivation-based questions highlighting why you’re interested in joining the Fund.
The interview process
Upon successful admission through the first round of our process, you will be invited to an interview with 2 or more members of the executive committee. We want to make very clear that all first year students are guaranteed an interview with us. The interview includes a stock pitch from a provided template as well as some more competency-based questions and gives you the opportunity to ask us any questions about the Fund.
The training weekend
If you pass the interview, you’ll be invited to join the Fund. Upon successful admission, all new analysts will be invited to our compulsory training weekend where we give you a foundation in stock valuation, technical analysis and pitch technique from experienced analysts in the fund as well as Keith Anderson from the York Management School.
